For a side shrouded in uncertainty, there is no lack of fight in Crystal Palaces players.

Six of Palaces starting line up have contracts expiring at the end of this season, from Christian Benteke to Andros Townsend to Gary Cahill. A further four on the substitutes bench find themselves in the same position, as does manager Roy Hodgson.

And yet, Palace came back from 2-1 down at half time to secure a satisfying 3-2 win for Hodgson. They peppered Aston Villas goal with 23 shots – their grandest total this season – and can welcome home supporters to Selhurst Park on Wednesday off the back of a victory.
