He hails from a humble background, born to Alhaji Sallau Jibrin Kibiya, a butcher, and Hajiya Ummul-Khairi. Ali's childhood was marked by frequent moves due to his father's business, transitioning from Kano to Lagos and later to Abuja. These experiences enriched his understanding of diverse cultures within Nigeria, which later influenced his music.


Ali's educational journey began in Shagari Quarters, where he completed his nursery and elementary education. His primary and junior secondary schooling took place at Bonikam Barracks in Victoria Island, Lagos, while he completed his senior secondary education in Abuja.
