Award-winning Nigerian female singer, Simi, has won the Best Female West Africa Award at the ongoing AFRIMMA 2020.

The prestigious African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) 2020 is currently ongoing live from Texas, USA.

AFRIMMA is the only music award scheme that celebrates the music of African origin; including but not limited to Afrobeats, Assiko, Bongo, Decale, Funana, Genge, Highlife, Kwaito, Lingala, and Soukous.

 


 

The 6th edition of AFRIMMA Awards 2020 went virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event will see performances from different artists around the world and the audience catching the performances, speeches, and award presentations on any device.

Simisola Kosoko was born on  April 19, 1988, and started her career as a gospel singer.

She released her debut studio album in 2008, titled Ogaju.

Simi is married to Adekunle Gold and this year they welcomed their first child after flaunting her baby bump in her hit song dubbed Duduke.
