Nigerian Singer Peter Okoye of p-square fame has reacted to Nigerian Information minister’s pretense of not knowing anything about the Protection from Internet Falsehood and manipulation Bill which also carries draconian measures under its terms.
The minister denied being aware of the bill and claims he does not even know the author of the bill. The bill makes provisions for journalists to be arrested for publishing internet content. This bill is causing outcry internationally and the minister claims he is not even aware of the bill and there is no such bill before the house of parliament.
This comment has outraged Peter Okoye causing him to slam the minister with all sort of names. He wrote: “Are you the author of the bill! You bloody fucking liar”.
